Boca Helping Hands provides limited financial assistance to qualified Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Lake Worth, Greenacres, and Palm Springs residents in crisis.


All applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis in accordance with Boca Helping Hands’ financial resource policies and can take up to 7 days to process.

Financial assistance includes the following:       

  • Late Rent. Assistance is not available for renters in active court evictions.
  • Late FPL and Water. To be considered, your power and water must be connected at the point in time of requesting assistance. Deposits or reconnection fees are not included. 


In the essence of time and to assist our screeners with your case, please bring all the documents listed below at the time of your appointment.

  •  Completion of the Boca Helping Hands Income & Expenses form found here.

  • Proof of residency: Current Mortgage or Lease.  If residency is less than a year, a previous lease or mortgage document is required.

  • Proof of all income: Last three months of bank statements for all accounts – Checking accounts, Savings accounts & Business accounts.

  • Proof of employment: Last three pay slips.

  

  • Valid issued picture ID – Driver’s License, ID card or Passport.

  • Official Florida Rental Pay or Vacate Notice (letters, texts or emails cannot be accepted). Late FPL or water bill indicating the amount of money that must be paid by a certain date to keep service active.

  • Completion of the FPL Authorization found here.

  • Explanation as to why you are having difficulty paying the bills.

  • If applicable, proof of any financial contribution from family members or other agencies (churches or local government groups). Must be documented and sent directly to BHH.

NOTE:  Please bring ALL documentation with you at the time of your appointment. This will allow for your case to be assessed in a timely manner.
