HVAC Technician Training Program
The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry is always looking for skilled technicians to serve both commercial and residential clients. In conjunction with Palm Beach State College, our program provides hands-on training in HVAC technology, system operation, troubleshooting, and repair. Students gain practical experience in labs and fieldwork, while also learning electronics, basic electricity, indoor air quality, safety, tool care, and other essential practices.
Accredited by HVAC Excellence, our program prepares students to earn:
- NCCER HVAC/R Levels 1 & 2 credentials
- NATE Certification (North American Technician Excellence)
- EPA Section 609 Certification (North American Insulation Manufacturers)

Additional financial support may be offered to eligible, enrolled students on a case-by-case basis.
Requirements:
+ Are 18 years of age or older
+ Have a High School Diploma or GED (in English)
+ Have a valid driver’s license and Social Security Card
+ Provide the last 3 months of bank statements to establish financial need
+ Have strong English language skills
+ Have reliable transportation
+ IRS Tax Return for the last filing year for all adult members of the household
+ Pass Level 1 background screening check
+ 3 most recent paystubs
Phase One: Professional & Personal Skills Development
Format: Hybrid (In-Person & Zoom)
Duration: One Week
- Monday & Tuesday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (In-Person)
- Wednesday or Thursday: Zoom Session (Day TBD)
- Friday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (In-Person)
Phase Two: The HVAC/Residential program prepares students to learn installation, repair, and maintenance of domestic and commercial air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems. The program is offered through a traditional school schedule from 7:00am to 2:00pm from Monday to Friday for 14 months. Classes begin in January or August of the educational training year.
Phase Three: Graduates work with BHH Job Mentors to update/create resumes, practice mock interviews, and learn how to navigate employment sites for open positions.
Please note that all phases are mandatory for the successful completion of the program.
