ABOUT
Since our founding as a modest soup kitchen in 1998, Boca Helping Hands has grown into one of the largest nonprofit service providers in South Florida. Today, our organization is supported by more than 20 staff members and over 300 dedicated volunteers who assist nearly 35,000 clients each year. By offering a wide range of services under one roof, we focus on supporting the “whole person,” addressing the needs of individuals, children, and families—many of whom are employed but still struggle to make ends meet.
Our food assistance programs include hot meals that are open to anyone in need, as well as a pantry bag program for families living at or below the poverty level. In 2025 alone, Boca Helping Hands distributed more than 3.5 million meals through pantry bags and hot meal services across our five distribution sites in Palm Beach County.
To support children facing food insecurity, Boca Helping Hands operates the KidsPack Weekend Meals Program, which provides nutritious weekend meals to elementary school students. Currently, the program serves 15 schools across South Palm Beach County.
With an increasing focus on long-term stability and self-sufficiency, Boca Helping Hands also offers scholarship opportunities for qualified individuals to attend accredited vocational training through our Workforce Development Programs. These programs prepare participants for careers in fields such as healthcare, information technology, construction, transportation, and more. In addition, we provide job mentoring to help individuals build essential workplace skills and pursue new career pathways.
Boca Helping Hands is a partner agency of The Town of Palm Beach United Way. Since 1945, the Town of Palm Beach United Way has been committed to improving lives and building strong communities throughout Palm Beach County by focusing on programs and priorities that promote education, health, and financial stability.
