Volunteer Spotlight: Mary Youngblood

Nov 20, 2022

For almost four years, Mary has filled many different volunteer positions at Boca Helping Hands. Currently stationed at the front desk, she is moved by the work she is able to accomplish on the front line, fielding phone calls from community members seeking help.

After 35 years in the corporate world working a travel-heavy job, Mary took an early retirement in 2018 and settled down in Boca Raton. Now, she revels in being able to spend time close to home at BHH assisting any way she can.

“Even if we can’t directly be of service to someone looking for help, I try to guide callers in the right direction. I take it very seriously, and will call people back if I find anything else that can help,” she says.

Mary feels fortunate to be able to serve her community and give back, if even just a little. We thank Mary for her wonderful spirit and dedication to our mission and clients. We're lucky to have her as part of our volunteer team!
