To support a good cause our Executive Director, James S. Gavrilos was arrested today by MDA, for having a Big Heart!!!

James Gavrilos was arrested

Mr. Gavrilos wanted to be arrested among friends so he chose the noon hour at Boca Helping Hands where they serve lunches for 175 to 200 people a day six days a week. Everyone laughed and cheered as the Boca Raton Police officer "arrested him". The Boca Raton Police Officer put on the handcuffs and led Mr. Gavrilos out to a waiting police car. Being a good sport he even smilied for the camera! Cafe Esperanza at Boca Helping Hands did visit him and brought a cake with a file in it!

As Executive Director of Boca Helping Hands, I see people hurting every day. Here at BHH, we see   those who are struggling with their finances, or saving their homes. We see those who can't put food on the table for their families. The MDA Annual Executive Lock Up is really an extension of the work we do at Boca Helping Hands. We are reaching out to relieve suffering. So help me get out of jail by making your tax deductible donation today! And on May 23rd, if you're near BHH around noon, come on by and watch the police come take me away...for a good cause.
