Information Technology (IT)

The IT Help Desk Technician Program trains students to work in the growing IT industry. Boca Helping Hands partners with The Academy to provide students with the necessary training to earn industry-approved A+ and N+ certifications in approximately 12 weeks. Prior IT experience is preferred but not required. 


Additional financial support offered on a case-by-case basis.

Requirements:
+ Are 18 years of age or older
+ Have a High School Diploma or GED (in English)
+ Have a valid driver’s license and Social Security Card

+ Provide the last 3 months of bank statements to establish financial need
+ Have strong English language skills
+ Have reliable transportation
+ Have proof of a licensed and insured vehicle
+ Pass Level 1 background screening check
+ Refundable deposit required 


Phase One: One week of Job Readiness taught virtually via Zoom. Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. 


Phase Two: Classes will consist of 120 hours of instruction during six weeks of training. Upon completion, students will take the CompTI A+ and N+ certification exams. Students can attend the Miami or Fort Lauderdale campus (8:00 am - 12:00 pm or 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm).


Phase Three: Graduates work with BHH Job Mentors to update/create resumes, practice mock interviews, and learn how to navigate employment sites for open positions.


Please note that all phases are mandatory for successful completion of the program.
