Warehouse Support
Description: The Warehouse Coordinator will provide support to all food programs by facilitating the movement of perishable and non-perishable food in the warehouse. When necessary, they will drive a truck or van to various locations to pick-up donated food. This position will report directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities and duties of the Driver/Warehouse Support person include but are not limited to:
- Unload trucks, process, and store food donations at the BHH warehouse.
- Assist with the stocking and smooth rotation of inventory in the warehouse.
- Cleaning and light maintenance of premises, inside and out.
- Oversee the BHH Backpack program ensuring adequate inventory of food and supplies.
- Coordinate the activities of volunteer groups serving in the warehouse.
- Drive any of BHH’s fleet of trucks/vans to various food recovery partners and local restaurants and accept food donations.
- Drive to local schools and unload pallets of food for the BHH Backpack Program.
- Drop off and pick up bins at various locations for food drives.
- Supervise mobile pantry bag distributions, as directed, including all volunteers that show up to serve. This will be anywhere between six and ten volunteers each day.
- Ensure that each vehicle used is properly maintained by alerting the Director of Food and Warehouse Operations when service lights are on or there are other indications of a malfunctioning vehicle
- Ensure that each vehicle used is clean and refueled at the close of business each day.
Qualifications:
- Must be over the age of 21
- Good communication skills for interacting and coordinating with coworkers, volunteers, and donors
- Willingness to work as a team player
- Problem-solving skills to effectively handle urgent issues
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina and strength to tolerate heavy lifting and standing for extended periods of time.
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record for three years.
- Availability Monday through Saturday (7:30am - 4:00pm) with occasional 6:30am starts to facilitate food recovery efforts. One day every other week 11:30am – 7:30pm.
- Willingness to work occasional Sunday shifts to facilitate food recovery and/or special distribution efforts
- Must have the ability to safely drive a cargo van, and/or box trucks, manipulate a lift gate on all trucks and a pallet jack and/or stock picker.
