Boca Helping Hands has opened the Justin D. Webb Training Center, to accommodate its Job Readiness and other training classes. This building was made possible through a generous grant from the Ruth and Hal Launders Charitable Trust. The facility houses the Leah and Samuel Hochman Health and Wellness Classroom, a second classroom dedicated in Memory of Henry Weitz, an administrative office that was dedicated in Memory of Dr. Herbert L. Watchtel along with a smaller interview room for professional development sessions. The building is across the street from the Boca Helping Hands Remillard Family Resource Center, 1500 NW 1st Court, Boca Raton

Boca Helping Hands held its 12th Annual Bowling for Bread Event & Food Drive on August 26th. Over 400 kids and supporters attended the event and enjoyed pizza, burgers, wings and more, as well as prizes, clowns and, of course, bowling at Strikes@Boca. Guests brought 63 pounds of food to donate to the food drive, and the event benefited participating children’s non-profits and their children’s based initiatives.

There are Lane Sponsorships available for $200 and individual child bowlers can be sponsored for $50. The event benefits participating children’s non-profits and their children’s based initiatives.

Well...Boca Helping Hands has done it again.  For the second year in a row, BHH has earned a perfect score of 100 out of a possible 100 points.  Only 58 charities in the United States earned that designation, putting BHH in some good company.

12 year old Runs Colorful Race for Boca Helping Hands!

Amanda Klafter, 12 year old daughter of Melissa Klafter of Sun Capital Partners, Inc., decided to run a race and raise funds for Boca Helping Hands.  Amanda chose, Run or Dye which is the world's most colorful 5K / 3.1M themed run.  This event took place on March 22 in Davie, Florida.  The participants got blasted with safe, eco-friendly, powdered dye, turning them into a colorful canvas of fun.

During the past 5 years, Greg has been focusing on grant opportunities with foundations and local corporations; the results have been outstanding. In addition to fund raising Greg may occasionally be found working on various projects, warehouse work, or the past 5 years Greg has been focusing on grant opportunities with foundations and local corporations; the results have been outstanding. In addition to fund raising Greg may occasionally be found working on various projects, warehouse work, picking up food etc… Greg has been happily married to his wife Debbie since 1992 and they have one beautiful daughter Hayley who will graduate from Pope John Paul II High School in May 2014 and continue her education at The University of Alabama. Greg’s other pursuits are golf; snow skiing, yoga and music.
