A Day at the Derby – a Runway Success for Boca Helping Hands

BOCA RATON, FL, May 12, 2008– BOCA HELPING HANDS, a not-for-profit, Boca Raton community-based organization with the mission of solving hunger and crisis situations for the most needy in our own neighborhoods, held its 2nd Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon “A Day at the Derby” at the Country Club of Boca Raton on Sunday May 4th. The venue was filled with Kentucky Derby traditions including hats, mint juleps and rose garland decorations. The afternoon provided an opportunity for over 100 attendees to help raise money for Boca Helping Hand’s food and assistance program fund. The local charity for the poor and hungry in Boca Raton was the recipient of over $11,000.00 in donations from the event.
