Boca Helping Hands is proud to announce their partnership with Boca West Foundation. Starting Friday, May 20th Boca West will be sponsoring the Friday Lunch Program at Boca Helping Hands with a $22,500 grant. BHH launched their Friday lunch on April 1, 2011 and is now serving 125-150 individuals, families and children lunch six days a week Monday through Saturday. BHH is continuing to address the needs in the Boca Raton Community.

Boca West Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) foundation established in 2010. Their mission is to identify and fund projects designed to strengthen, build and improve the lives of individuals, groups, and families in the community of Boca Raton and the South Palm Beach County area. They are funded by their members and other corporate institutions and individuals. The work of the Foundation is voluntary, no compensation is given to the board members and all monies raised will go toward projects.

Boca West Foundation has also encouraged their members to volunteer at Boca Helping Hands on Fridays. They will join Boca Helping Hands’ amazing volunteers who stepped up and established a brand new “Friday Crew” to handle the food preparation and service. In addition, volunteers also staff the Pantry Program on Fridays, which currently disburses some 700-800 bags of perishable and non-perishable food each month.” The doors open at 11:30 and lunch is served until 12:30. The food is “recovered” from local restaurants, including The Capital Grille, Chipotle, Seasons 52,Whole Foods, Publix and C.R. Chicks, just to name a few.
