A huge thank-you to everyone who “attended” our Virtual Event on Friday! While it could never replace our annual MONOPOLY fundraiser, we hope you enjoyed the entertainment and getting to know a little more about Boca Helping Hands. Every sponsorship in support, auction item purchased, and dollar contributed will help us keep serving those in need!
One of our unveils during the event was a new video about our BHH Backpacks Program. If you missed it, you can watch it here: BHH Backpacks Video.
Although schools are currently closed, we are continuing to feed school kids through the Backpacks Program by sharing that food with organizations like The Achievement Centers for Children & Families and the Boca Raton Boys & Girls Club. This summer, we will be sending food from our inventory to the Palm Beach County School District so that kids will continue to receive needed meals over the summer.
Several people have reached out after our event to see how else they can help.
Monetary donations are always helpful, as we can purchase needed food in bulk and respond more quickly and nimbly to needs as they arise.
Organizing food drives is helping us to replenish our stock of key non-perishables. Contact Suzan Javizian, Operations Manager at Suzan@BocaHelpingHands.org.
We can always use more volunteers, the lifeblood that keeps us moving forward! Contact Denise Furr, Volunteer Program Manager at Denise@BocaHelpingHands.org.
For any other information please contact Karen Swedenborg, Development Manager at Karen@BocaHelpingHands.org.
Thank you to our Event Sponsor, JM Family Enterprises, Inc., and our other generous sponsors: Boca West Children’s Foundation; Peter and Susan Brockway; Noreen and Fred Hassan; Lee Pearlson Steinberg Foundation, Pink Palm, Douglas Elliman; Tandy and Joe Robinson.
Thanks so much for supporting Boca Helping Hands, especially during these challenging times.
