Thanks to our community's incredible support in the fall, nearly 2,900 registered families celebrated a Happy Thanksgiving. Through our 2021 Thanksgiving Box Brigade, we sourced and distributed a record number of turkeys and boxes filled with Thanksgiving dinner essentials, ensuring that our clients would have what they needed to prepare holiday meals at home.
We were also excited to add a fifth turkey pick-up spot in November: Bethel Evangelical Baptist Church in west Delray Beach, where BHH began distributing pantry bags on October 5. While this expansion marked a milestone for our organization, it also contributed to us reaching more families than ever before.
After operating the Thanksgiving Box Brigade for 17 years, we continue to be inspired by your outpouring of generosity. The growth we see year over year and the larger impact we're making would not be possible without the commitment and support of our volunteers, sponsors, and donors.
