We're excited to welcome BHH Board Member and First Vice President of Valley Bank Martine Pierre-Paul to our adult education programming as she leads upcoming Financial Management classes.

The classes are currently being held over Zoom and are free of charge to Palm Beach County residents looking to improve their financial wellness. Presented by field experts like Pierre-Paul and representatives from Bank of America and First Citizens Bank, these classes empower clients by helping them build fundamental finance skills.

"My focus will be to get each student to reflect on their #1 financial goal and walk away with a plan to achieve it, one step at a time," said Pierre-Paul. "I hope that our adult students will also teach their children the information learned."

In addition to being open to the public, our Job Training students take the course to gain a solid foundation as they navigate their road to financial freedom. In 2021, nearly 200 clients participated in our financial management classes.

Pierre-Paul, who is an FDIC Money Smart certified instructor, focuses on topics such as banking and borrowing basics, spending, saving, planning for retirement, credit reports and scores, managing debt, protecting your identity and other assets, the journey to homeownership, business success, self-employment, and disaster financial preparation and recovery.
