Hospitality and Food Service
The Hospitality and Food Service Program trains students to work in the vibrant hospitality industry of South Florida. Boca Helping Hands (BHH) partners with SouthTech Academy to offer full training in fundamental cooking skills, dining room preparedness, and industry-standard certifications. Be prepared to enter the HFS industry in just 13-15 weeks!
This might be a good fit for you if you:
+ Are 18 years of age or older
+ Have a High School Diploma or GED (in English)
+ Have a valid driver’s license and Social Security Card
+ Have strong English language skills
+ Have reliable transportation
+ Pass Level 1 background screening check
+ A $75 deposit is required to enroll and is fully refunded upon successful completion of the program
Phase One: One week of Job Readiness taught at BHH Monday through Friday from 9am - 4pm.
Phase Two: Earn your ServeSafe and TIPS certifications and practice hands-on skills at SouthTech Academy two nights a week over a 13-15 week timespan on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45 - 8:45pm.
Phase Three: Graduates work with BHH Job Mentors to update/create resumes, practice mock interviews, and learn how to navigate employment sites for open positions.
