Commercial Driver’s License

Boca Helping Hands has partnered with The CDL School to assist students with earning a Class A Commercial Driver’s License. The Commercial Driver’s License Program trains students to drive truck-tractors, semi-trailers or trucks, and trailers. Obtain your CDL in just 5-7 weeks!

This might be a good fit for you if you:
+ Are 18 years of age or older
+ Have a high school diploma or GED (in English)
+ Have a valid driver’s license and Social Security Card
+ Have strong English language skills
+ Have reliable transportation
+ Pass Level 1 background screening check
+ Obtain a Class A Temporary Permit
+ Obtain a DOT Physical Card
(A $75 deposit is required to enroll and is fully refunded upon  successful completion of the program)

Phase One: One week of Job Readiness taught at Boca Helping Hands Monday- Friday from 9am - 4pm.

Phrase Two: Fourty hours of vehicle driving training at The CDL School in North Miami, starting on any Saturday from 8:30am - 5pm, then 2-3 weeks from 5:30 - 9:30pm.

Phase Three: Graduates work with BHH Job Mentors to update/create resumes, practice mock interviews, and learn how to navigate employment sites for open positions.
