BHH Presented Check from Karen Slattery Pre-K Students

Sarah Rose Sherman celebrated her Bat Mitzvah with a special project. She and her family created 13 center pieces with 13 items in each for a family four-Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner plus dessert. Sarah and her mother, Rachel, came to Boca Helping Hands on Monday, June 11, 2012 to deliver the baskets.

On a very rainy Thursday, May 24, 2012, the Fifth Third Bank bus came by Boca Helping Hands for the day. They offered help with Free Credit Reports, Homeownership Assistance, Checking & Savings Accounts, Loan Applications, Financial Literacy Classes, Employement Applications and much more! More than 70 people were helped by this wonderful organization. We hope to have them back soon and often.

During Whole Foods Market team member appreciation week, there are various events to celebrate our team members. One of them was a sandwich event and team members donated a canned food and received a free lunch prepared by Chef Abby. The canned food was donated to Boca Helping Hands with a total of 149 cans! A whole shopping cart full.

Each year, the Florence Fuller Child Development Center recognizes men in our community who have devoted themselves to service and philanthropy. Charities throughout Boca Raton and beyond nominate worthy candidates who are honored at the Men with Caring Hearts annual luncheon. From these worthy nominees, a committee has the unenviable task of selecting ONE to honor as the Awardee.
