Another “Matching” Donor Steps Forward in support of Boca Helping Hands

By: James S. Gavrilos

Date: December 7, 2012
To anyone familiar with Boca Helping Hands, the name Arthur Remillard is synonymous with philanthropy, commitment and bold vision. When Boca Helping Hands was trying to consolidate operations into one building, an effort made critical by the catastrophic fire in August of 2009, Arthur Remillard stepped forward and offered the leading gift for the capital campaign. Since his first involvement with Boca Helping Hands, Mr. Remillard has been among our most consistent supporters. Each year, he assists BHH and its various events with his financial support as well as his presence, guidance and advice. Making frequent and unannounced visits, Mr. Remillard quietly and proudly observes the bee hive of activity taking place in the building that bears his name.

The Jim Moran Foundation Funds New Job Training Initiative at Boca Helping Hands

By: James S. Gavrilos

Date: November 6, 2012
(November 7, 2012) -- For most people, Boca Helping Hands (BHH) means a hot meal or a pantry bag of groceries. For others, BHH means a backpack filled with food for the weekend for children. Still others associate BHH with limited financial assistance to pay rent or utility bills. However, its stated mission is to break the cycle of dependence. A recent $100,000 grant from The Jim Moran Foundation, along with support from The Salah Foundation and The Hagen Family Foundation, will allow BHH to take a major step forward in empowering clients to become self-sufficient.
