Boca Helping Hands announces that it has been selected to receive a $1,000 grant as part of the Restaurant Community Grants program from the Darden Restaurants Foundation, Inc., the charitable arm of Darden Restaurants. This grant supports their BHH Backpacks Program.

Boca Helping Hands in Boca Raton Receives Basic Human Services Grant from Bank of America Charitable Foundation Boca Helping Hands today announced that it has been named a recipient of the Bank of America Charitable Foundation’s 2014 Basic Human Services Grant. The grant is part of a $461,500 collective investment the bank is making in South Florida to address issues related to basic human services. The grants will help individuals and families address financial stability issues facing low-income communities, provide emergency shelter and supportive short-term housing, as well as provide access to benefits and resources including food pantries, shelters and financial coaching.

Miracle Chef Event at Boca Helping Hands, A Night to Remember!

We thank all of the wonderful teams that participated in this event. Over 200 guests witnessed the BHH volunteers performing miracles as they cooked a variey of dishes using only the food recovered from local restaurants, businesses, and stores. Our Miracle Chef Event was held Friday, October 17, 2014. We had three celebrity judges from Publix, The Addison and Ms. America, Florida 2104. Each team received a certificate and aprons with their winning category embrodered on the front.
