It was
with great enthusiasm that Boca Helping Hands announced that the
organization has received an anonymous donation of $75,000
toward their Capital Campaign. This generous gift marks the
celebrated achievement of the $1 Million Milestone as the
Capital Campaign balance is currently over $1.1 Million.
“This gift is more evidence of the community’s level of support
for Boca Helping Hands and the new building project,” said Gary
Peters, head of the Capital Campaign. “Donors and business
leaders are making it clear that they believe in our vision for
using this facility to improve the lives of the low-income and
homeless population in Boca Raton for the betterment of the
community.”
The goal of Boca Helping Hands is to provide dedicated and
compassionate service designed to help people in need gain
independence by fostering dignity, self-respect and self-esteem.
“The construction of our new center will allow us to improve and
expand the services that we currently offer,” said Boca Helping
Hands Executive Director Linda Gove. “Our goal is to provide
resources that positively impact the lives of children and
families in need, and with a new combined facility it will make
it much easier for families to benefit from our services.”
The new facility will consolidate all of the services currently
provided through multiple outlets into a single location
featuring a cafeteria, marketplace, warehouse center,
administrative offices, and job assistance program facilitation.
The new facility will also include the expansion of our
children’s services as well as the initiation of a health and
wellness program that will provide free medical treatment to the
underserved population in the community.
