Boca Helping Hands, a not-for-profit, Boca Raton
community-based
organization with the mission of solving hunger and crisis
situations for the needy, collected more than $120,000 recently at
its first annual Capital Campaign Monopoly Tournament and Dinner
at the Boca Marriott in Boca Raton.
Eric Shaw, a professor of marketing and chairman
of the Marketing Department at Florida Atlantic University, won
the grand prize of a
Franklin Mint Collector's Edition Monopoly game.
The local charity has embarked on a campaign to raise $1.4 million to build a new facility to house all of the services offered by BHH. project. Boca Helping Hands has already received a $50,000 pledge from the Boca Raton Rotary Club.
