Boca Helping Hands
this year received an additional $75,000 donation from an anonymous donor
and raised $92,000 at the Monopoly Tournament to take the
capital campaign to over $1.2 Million dollars and help make that dream become a reality. Boca Helping Hands,
having embarked on a capital campaign in 2006 to raise one
million four hundred thousand dollars to build a new facility to
operate a permanent home and establish an expanded assistance
fund, continues to move forward on the dream to house all of the
services offered by Boca Helping Hands under one roof.
Boca Helping Hands
has been serving the underprivileged in Boca Raton for almost 10
years and during that time we have expanded our programs
insuring the growth of services to the community's most needy.
Our physical space needs have also increased. Currently, food,
warehouse and client services have been separated in rented
space across multiple locations. The complicated arrangement
makes the use of resources and volunteers difficult at best.
Simply put, Boca Helping Hands needs a new and permanent larger
home. Preliminary plans for the building have been drawn and the
need for land is being addressed.
Plans call for a
two story building that will house the Food Center and food
warehouse and distribution center, a kitchen, a dining room, an
assistance Center, a conference room and a reception area. All
areas will be named for major donors to this campaign.
Boca Helping Hands
volunteers have worked diligently with the community to raise
over one million dollars so that construction can begin in 2008.
All contributions are welcome. Please contact us for more
information on Boca Helping Hands' work or the campaign to build
a new home for these needed services. Please feel free to

Sincerely,
Gary Peters
